Edugorilla is a tech-enabled education platform for over 1500 state competitive examinations in India using AI and ML-driven content creation to increase learning outcomes.

Every year 7.5 crore students spend Rs 20,000 for state vernacular exams, making the target addressable market of to Rs 1,50,000 cr. The 5-year CAGR is at 30% increased to 62% by COVID. The company is looking forward to capturing 20% of the market making the serviceable obtainable market to Rs 18,000cr.  

Most EdTech companies continue to focus solely on central exam preparation, leaving the state exam market highly unorganized with exam notifications released just 45 days before the exam. Hence, over 95% of students fail to qualify for any competitive exam.

Edugorilla aims to solve these problems by using a patented AI/ML-driven content creation engine to increase content overlap to 81% (Compared to the actual exams) and give access to updated learning content in just 5 days (in place of 30 days previously.)

  • They have increased the tests taken per student to 7.3 on their platform as against the competitors who are still stuck at 3.6.
  • Their proprietary content generation software speeds up the content creation process by 13x and increases content overlap with the actual exam to 81%, compared to 40% of the competition.
  • The company is EBITDA positive currently.   
  • Its current MRR is Rs 55 lakhs (70Lakhs in January) achieving revenue growth of 220% in the last 6 months & 300% Growth in FY21.
  • The current LTV to CAC ratio is 12 & AOV has increased by 7x to 750 in the last 2 years.

Details of the round :

 Edugorilla is currently raising a bridge round of Rs 10 Crs. They have already received commitments worth Rs 8 Crs from various angel networks.

 
The Company is raising funds using CCDs with a 30% discount to Series A with a floor of Rs 60 Crs and a Cap of Rs 100 Crs.

They are looking to raise 2 Cr from Lead Angels Network & Fund. The minimum commitment to the company is INR 5 Lakhs.

In case commitments exceed the ask amount, allotment will be on the “First Come, First Serve” basis.
